Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lex Plugin 2.1.0 to the UniMRCP Server (UMS) has been released.
The plugin is based on the following components:
- UniMRCP Server 1.7.0
- AWS SDK 1.8.129
- AWS Lex V2
- Libevent 2.1.9
- Libnghttp2 1.42.0
The binaries are currently available for the following Linux distributions:
- Red Hat / CentOS 7 (unimrcp-lex-1.7.3-1.el7.x86_64.rpm)
- Red Hat / CentOS 8 (unimrcp-lex-1.7.3-1.el7.x86_64.rpm)
- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (unimrcp-lex_1.7.3-xenial_amd64.deb)
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (unimrcp-lex_1.7.3-bionic_amd64.deb)
This release improves support for concurrent sessions by using a native implementation of async network I/O over HTTP/2. The release also adds support for eliciting a specific slot in an intent and fixes output audio format.
The detailed list of changes introduced in this release follows.
New Features
- Added support for a new dialog action 'ElicitSlot' allowing to specify a slot in an intent. See Section 4.7 in the Usage Guide.
- Set the platform name in the requests sent to the Lex V2 API via the session attribute 'x-amz-lex:channels:platform'.
Fixed Problems
- Reworked HTTP/2 network communication to efficiently handle hundreds of concurrent sessions.
- Fixed output audio format, if used.
