AWS Transcribe Plugin 1.9.0 Released


Amazon Web Services (AWS) Transcribe Speech Recognition Plugin 1.9.0 to the UniMRCP Server (UMS) has been released.

The plugin is based on the following components:

  • AWS SDK 1.11.469
  • Libevent 2.1.9

The plugin is available for the following UMS versions:

  • 1.7.0
  • 1.8.0

The binaries are currently available for the following Linux distributions:

  • Red Hat 8
    • unimrcp-transcribe-1.7.14-1.el8.x86_64.rpm
    • unimrcp-transcribe-1.8.4-1.el8.x86_64.rpm
  • Red Hat 9
    • unimrcp-transcribe-1.7.14-1.el9.x86_64.rpm
    • unimrcp-transcribe-1.8.4-1.el9.x86_64.rpm
  • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
    • unimrcp-transcribe_1.7.14-focal_amd64.deb
    • unimrcp-transcribe_1.8.4-focal_amd64.deb
  • Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
    • unimrcp-transcribe_1.7.14-jammy_amd64.deb
    • unimrcp-transcribe_1.8.4-jammy_amd64.deb

This release allows to use a custom service endpoint. The release also provides a few enhancements and fixes.

The detailed list of changes introduced in this release follows.
New Features
  • Allow to override service endpoint.
Fixed Problems
  • Fixed a race condition in expiration of no-input timeout and reception of results from Lex which could possibly cause a segfault.
Configuration Parameters
  • Added a new attribute 'service-uri' to the element 'streaming-recognition'.
Miscellaneous
  • Updated the Usage Guide to reflect the changes introduced in this release.
